serial midi pt6

Hi all Just wondering , is anyone using a serial midi interface (say motu mtpav serial) with the griffen g4 stealth card with any success! cheers Laswell

Hi, Yes!!! I'm using the Griffin g4port with the two (2) OS X drivers that you must download and install....they are 1- g4port OS X driver 2- g4port OS X midi setup driver My Midi rig uses a MOTU MTP AV (serial) that feeds 30 pieces of midi gear (keys /modules/ multi FX & sync boxes) and thus far it all works. I made an exact replica of my OMS studio setup so that all my PT 5 sessions will playback exactly as I initially recorded them, when loaded into PT 6. Also... GeeThree offers two similar drivers for their Stealth Port, I haven't tried them yet, but when I do, I'll Post post my results.

Don't get confused......I have a second Mac with the GeeThree Stealth Port in it. I'm not suggesting that the GeeThree drivers will work with the Griffin g4 Port or vice versa. Griffin's website is..... GeeThree's is............. Sorry if I confused the issue' Passive

Hi - I'm not using the card, b/c if it's the one I remember, you had to sacrifice your internal modem?? At any case, I use the Opcode Studio 4 serial interface w/ no problems in OS 9.2.2 and PT LE 5.3.2 w/ Digi002 and OMS ... I use the Mini-Geo serial to USB converter, made by Compucable - you can buy it from macwarehouse.com.
