Easy Blu-Ray to DVD Converter?

MessageAuthor

Hi. I've ripped a Blu-Ray movie to my harddisk with DVDFab. DVDFAB has copied a lot of m2ts files and a mpls file. I want to convert the bluray to a DVD. I would have bought the DVD, but Belgium is starting to release more and more bluray movies. I tried using Blu Ray to DVD Pro, but it freezes every time I try, and my screenreader does not support it (I'm blind). I've tried Convertxtodvd, but it can only convert the seperate m2ts files, it does not support the mpls file. Why not? Can I import the mpls file into convertxtodvd, or do I first have to join the blu ray files? How should I do that? I've tried tsmuxer, but it seems that I first have to demux everything before I can make one single m2ts file. I'm starting to get a little bit impatient. I'm just looking for an easy-to-use program that will convert my bluray files to a dvd, without having to start demuxing and joining forty files. I have a playlist file, so is there a good converter that supports mpls files?

Hi! (Presuming your BluRay is already decrypted) You can use "multiAVCHD" - and it will accept the .MPLS file for input...

This has a name, it's called HD2DVD and various guides are on the net. I assume setarip_old is right and multiAVCHD can do it in one step provided the BD is decrypted.

I downloaded the program suggeste in the second post. Is it me, or is the program a bit strange? I tried joining the files several times, and it keeps doing something which lasts more then four hours, but there is no result whatsoever.

Patience is a virtue ;>} Depending on your system's "power", a conversion from BluRay to DVD can take anywhere from two to twenty-four hours

Uh, sorry, but I have a very powerful computer, and making a dvd trip only takes half an hour. Is it normal that I have to wait for more than four hours to join blu ray files? Decrypting it only took two hours. I hope DVDs will continue to be made, because Blu-Ray is driving me crazy.

I hope this is not considered to be mean or offensive, but if you're blind then you don't care about the video part. So I suggest you to use a resource-saving codec and a smaller resolution - this way you don't need 24 hours but some 20-30 minutes. If you need a compatible codec for your DVD player that would be VCD (MPEG-1, 352x288), maybe divx if your player supports it.
