Quick and dirty AVI to DVD solution?

MessageAuthor

I have an AVI file. It's 12 minutes long. The video stream is x264 encoded, at 852x480 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio. The audio stream is uncompressed PCM, 48KHz, 16-bit stereo. I would like to make a DVD that can be inserted into any DVD player and played, and without spending much time doing it. Ideally, I'd like to have it done by tomorrow morning. Here are my other requirements: Every piece of software I use must be freeware, and freely downloadable. The DVD must be anamorphic. Given all the above requirements, the image and sound quality must be as high as possible. I do not care about DVD features like menus and chapters. Can anyone tell me what software I should use to accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about x264 format but, you might want to try Flick DVD Creator...
