selecting TDM plug-in quits PT

MessageAuthor

I'm running PT 5.1.3 on a G4, OS v 9.2.2. When I open a session and try to add a TDM plug-in such as slap delay or compression to a new or existing track, it quits PT and sends me back to the desktop. I have to close the DAE in the finder menu before I can reopen PT. This just started happening recently after months with no problems. D-Verb loads fine, as does TC Master X. Any ideas?

trashing both dae prefs and PT prefs in the system folder is allways a good way to start troubleshooting.

Yea, I tried that first, but no help. I also have one particular session that will go through the entire procedure of loading, but before the mix and edit windows appear, it kicks me back to the desktop. What's up with this??

If you use any sorting scemes that use folders inside the plugin folder and you update plugins, the updater won't see the old plugins and remove them. I mention this because I had the same kind of problem happen because I used a subfolder thing to sort my plugins and an update inadvertantly left me with two copies of the same plugin in the plugins folder ,one was in a sub folder so it wasn't obvious.
