A common problem with 17" wheels rubbing on the inner wing. Mine does it on full lock. Not on the plastic liner. Best of luck Jim

My 2003 V70 has 17" alloys with 225/45/17 tyres fitted , no rubbing whatsoever

The F1's are particularly bad for this as their sidewalls are "broader" than many other types of tyre. I just avoided using the extreme full lock when I had my S60, it's such an ocean going liner to get turned around anyway that it didn't make much difference :) Cheers, John

+1 to John on the F1's. Mine used to rub on full lock too. Have been driving on Michelin PS2's now and there's no rubbing so it seems to be tire dependent. Have a search on the forums, I've a vague memory that there's a thread somewhere with a few more brands and whether they rub or not. Tony

I also have 17'' wheels, and prior to changing the two front Pirellis, they rubbed on the arch; the car also tramlined a bit. I now have Michelin Pilot Primacy, no tramlining or rubbing.

On my 2000 V70 T5, I had exactly the same problem...Pirellis rubbed and tramlined - the michelins are superb in comparison. (17" wheels).
