Cracks and pops with Vienna Instrument on MacPro and PT 7.4

Hello all. Running Vienna Instrument version 7.0x0 in RTAS format gives me cracks and pops on the first few runs of a session. Each instrument crackles when it plays its first midi notes. Only after playing a session several times do the Vienna instruments begin to play OK. Never run more than 4 Vienna RTAS instruments at the same time and hardly any other RTAS running simultaneously. System: 3 GHz MacPro 8-core Intel Xeon from November 2007 Tiger 10.4.10 10 Gb RAM 4 internal ATA disks with Vienna samples on the disk in bay 4 (no other audio streaming from that disk) Protools 7.4 cs2 Sessions playback setting: 256 samples 4 RTAS processors CPU usage limit 85% DAE playback default level 2 Cache size normal Optimized for streaming content from audio drives Any ideas what could be the problem? you should up your H/W Buffer to at least 512 or 1024 - when dealing with RTAS VI's - that will take care of the crackles. If it aint working either after adjusting the H/W Buffer - then try experimenting with the number of processors that you use. Try 1 or two - and see what happens. I believe that setting the H/W Buffer to 5120 or 1024 will take care of the problem though... Good Luck
