RE: STUPID loop trimmer! Stuck!

This is just killing me. The trimmer just decides to turn into the loop trim mode, and it will not return to the good ol' normal trimmer. Deleted prefs, databases, and digisetup. This is making me go to my unhappy place. I can zoom WAY out and the trimmer returns to normal, as I zoom in *poof* the thing returns to the loop trimmer state. Just tried the scrub trimmer too. Even though it appears as the scrub trim mode, IT'S THE LOOP TRIMMER. Ahhhhhhh! Anybody got a fix? Digi, this blows. We need Tool management options. S.

Ok. Here's the fix. The only trim mode that still works when PT freaks like this is the TC trimmer. Grab a chunk of random audio, and use the TC trimmer on it. Then, the tool modes return to "normal". Definitely a bug. Definitely a pain. If someone has already documented this, sorry for the redundancy.

Just as Digi did for shuffle mode........... I vote for a lock on the loop trimmer tool , also the TCE trimmer!!

Stuart, Funny, I used the word "infected" just last week to someone else regarding this issue. Undo, or revert to last saved will uninfect the region. I still think a lock on the loop tool would help.
