positive support experiences...

okay, some backstory...had a mac, and last summer, i was "relieved of its burden". along with it, my ilok. the ilok contained all the sonnox plugs, altiverb, izotope, and psp plugs licenses. it was reported stolen, so the licenses are now kaput. these plugs are real "go-to's"...i used them ALL THE TIME. (fortunately, izotope and psp also have serial authorizations, so i could still use those at least). apparently, most companies charge a fee to resend ilok licenses. so, taxes came in, so i figured it was time to get a new ilok and do the deed re: relicensing. so i burnt out some emails to the various companies, ready to drop the dimes and get it done. first thing this morning, i had replies from sonnox, and audioease (altiverb). new licenses were already in my ilok account, or on the way. izotope responded shortly afterward...my old authorizations were deleted, and i could re-authorize my ilok at my leisure. ALL AT NO CHARGE. unbelievable. i just contacted psp today, and will update as that unfolds. anyway, i just wanted to give a positive shout out to several companies for very fast, courteous, helpful responses. the value of the plugins in everyday use alone have made them more than worth their cost, plus any reinstatement fee i'd have had to pay. sometimes, you get what you pay for, and THEN some. cheers to these folks, and to all the other "good ones" out there that somehow provide that extra little touch that makes you feel like you yourself are of value to THEM. the geek i'd put aside for this got me into the aether group buy. the rest is going toward cocaine and hookers (as this is so highly recommended in another thread). kell

got an email from psp this morning to the effect of: "no problem. you'll find the assets in your account." maan...i am one happy camper. i'm gonna stop now...don't wanna jinx myself! kell p.s. smurf, that is very very cool of them to have done that for you. it's so easy to forget that great customer service is still out there. especially with all the nightmare stuff you read on the net...
