Scripts: ReaScript pack by kawaCat

MessageAuthor

Thanks for the reply. So far I have only tried ReaPack v1.0 rc1 and as far as I can see it's working very nicely. I really look forward to the first official version.

@X-Raym Sorry if I went too far and too fast. Now I understood your policy. Here's my excuse; the problem is about the directory of script. As you change it, you have to reload it and reassign its action to a shortcut/button in action list about each one. Actually I discussed this with Kawa telling we need a more rational way to do that. I thought I should have known ReaPack while I was doing the work of customizing actions once again... Anyway I am so glad to hear the official release is coming soon.

@X-Raym You mean you want Kawa to join you in ReaTeam Script Repository as a contributor? BTW, I asked him about missing scripts from ReaPack repo. He said some of those scripts are almost temporary and probably will be rationalized--replaced by fewer different ones smarter which have the same functions. Anyway he may take action about this issue, you'll see.

@jcx I created a pull request with the missing scripts for the desired repo, and Kawa merged them, so it is all good :)

Kawa deleted his GitHub dev and reapack repo, (there is a [url=https://github.com/kawaCat/ReaScript-MidiPack]note[/] in Japanese to explain why, if someone can translate it for us, but as far as I can understand, he doesn't want to bother with english and pull request anymore) Fortunately, he still share his ReaPack-compatible scripts and make them available to download from BitBucket Thanks again to Kawa for sharing his great work! (note to scripters: Kawa now only share his minified version of his scripts, not the dev versions as he used to. This make moding really hard).

Kawa scripts are now in closed development. They are not ReaPack friendly anymore. He now share them on Stash: Thanks to him for sharing his work!

Thanks for the increment/decrement channel script kawa, been using it a fair bit... So, should I just delete Kawa scripts () from Reapack and bookmark that page ^? (also, page says no longer open source.. aren't Reaper scripts inherently open source? Just curious)

Yes I think you can remove that from Reapack now. I have to say that I admire Kawa's talent and I respect his decision to not license them under open source. So I feel less alone ;) I wish I could speak/write Japanese to speak to him. A little man and a house, nothing is inherently open source unless it is explicitly defined as open source in its license. Like a GPL license for example.
