split & streatch..

MessageAuthor

I tried using the suggested method of splitting (multiple drum tracks in this case) on the beginning of bad (out of place) transient as well as the ones directly before and after it. Then I use the 'alt' click and drag method to move transient. While it does streatch and move the beat.. It it doesn't sound smooth at all. Is there something I'm missing?

Did you set an appropriate PS/TS algorithm in the project settings? It defaults to SoundTouch, which is maybe not the first choice for percussive material.

Nope, but I was sure it was something simple. I will experiment with these settings. What is the best setting for multiple drum tracks? --- found the section in the manual. Looks like the PRO versions v1 and v2, is best for everything, but uses more resources. I guess I'll experiment with them. Thanks!

Not sure about that, IIRC Pipelineaudio prefers Elastique efficient for most stuff and there are settings for transient or tone preserving variations for some of the Elastique algorithms on the "Pitch Shifter Parameter" pulldown. What sounds best probably depends a lot on the specific material.
