Corrupted Project please help!

I'll try to explain this as best I can. I'm no expert so be patient with me please. Wednesday night I had a crash in Reaper ,,and normally I could just reload and keep going ,but this time Reaper gave up the ghost. When I rebooted and reloaded the project 2 of my normally good running plugs were reported not available, but settings saved on initial loading just after the splash screen. Upon inspection through use I discovered many others were blanked out in the fx window and would not reload after clicking the button to bring them back online. Verbiage being one of them that I use a lot. So I have been reloading .dll files into my plug in directory. Now here is the strange part. Verbiage among others would work on certain tracks and some tracks no. Same with melodyne plug,, and some waves stuff and numerous others. They will work though in a completly different project. This has led me to believe the project has been corrupted in some way. I have reinstalled Reaper ,melodyne plug in and some others ,but to no avail. Has anyone run across this? Big thanks

Haven't run into this, but what happen if you load one of the backup project file? If it's set, like mine, to save a backup every 15 minutes, then in the event that the project cannot be recovered, all you'd loose is the last 15 minutes.

It's too late I guess for the back up file. I've been screwing around with it for 2 days. THe recovery mode is useless in this case. I thought about maybe it might be in the ini file some how but I'm erally not sure if I should do that or not. I could rename the old one and reload reaper to create another one but I really think it's in the project itself. I have my undo set to save everything. So I might could sit there for 2 hours pressing ctrl z until I get back to before the crash. Is there any way to look at the undo file to check dates?

Kirk, last week I have a similar episode, what I did was open the project in the V3Beta, it opened OK, save, and then reopen in v2.58, everything was fine. It works for me. Hope you get it soon. Bye
