i am not really sure what u r talking about , but i try it anyway !?!? is it just that way if u create a new midi track or do u have that problem all the time ??? i dont know the yamaha , too ! is it just a materkeyboard ( means no sounds ), or are their sounds builded in that keyboard , too ??? so their are some unknown points about your setup . i guess you r running PT for midi.its necessary , that u have a prober working OMS setup.without having that , nothing will appear.1st of all you OMS has to detect your midi interface , then you add your keyboard to midi in 1 and ( if it isnt just a masterkeyboard without sounds ) midi out 1 ( if its just a masterkeyboard without sounds , means you r using just the keys and the controllers you just have to connect the out of the key with the in of the interface ).then add any soundmodul the same way ( for example ROLAND in midi interface out 2 , if u have sysex through your sytem you have to connect the out of the modul with the input of the midi interface , too ). make sure for all the multimode moduls or keyboards that u run all receiving channels of the modul in OMS ) otherwise PT will just show 1 chooseable midi track for the particular instrument . i hope that helps , if not post the whole setup you r running , and mayB we can fix it ?!?!
