Even within the "art" there are scientists - "You can't end the song without resolving the tonic!" This is a message board for a manufacturer of gear - so the existence of ridicously pedantic discussions about inner workings of the gear (we luv ya nika!) that ignore the artistic implications shouldn't really come as a surprise. There are plenty of equally ponderous conversations about the "art" of writing hit songs. Although I've yet to find a white paper on the subject. Hopefully, the engineer has the heart of an artist and the artist has the intellect of an engineer.
